Saturday the 15th of December brought an exciting buzz outside the doors of The Academy, Dublin, for Orla Gartland's second headline show in this venue. As the queue started to make its way through the doors, you could hear people singing Orla songs. The venue was filling up fast as a lot of people made their way straight to the merch stand at the back.

Lewis Watson: Live @ Academy 2, Dublin.
I always love gigs in the Academy 2. There's just something about the place. Usually when you think of an 'intimate venue', you probably think of a tiny room with poor lights and sound. But The Academy 2 succeeds in being a beautiful, intimate venue, without losing the sense of a proper venue. And who better to perform on that stage, than 20 year old, British singer/songwriter, Lewis Watson.

Bastille: Live @ Academy 2, Dublin

It was definitely no surprise that this gig was a sell out. With three outstanding acts to perform in such an intimate venue, it was bound to be a gig to remember.

Nirvana
The late 1980’s, early 1990’s, was a major era in the transformation of music, we all know that. But why? Although Nirvana weren’t completely original and not the first to do what they did, people listened. They, above anyone else, had the ability to shock an audience This is what Kurt did, it was what he was born to do, and still, today, the further we get from Kurt’s death, the more bands we can find like Nirvana.
Interview with... Orla Gartland
It’s fair to say it’s been a very busy year for Dublin singer/songwriter, Orla Gartland. Having played a tonne of gigs over the last few months, within Ireland and the UK, Orla is set to play her second ever headline show, in London at the end of the month. Before opening for Bastille, to a massive crowd in the Academy 2, I got the chance to catch up with Orla and ask her a few questions.
Interview with... BriBry
Youtube
sensation, and Dublin singer/songwriter, Brian O’Reilly, better known as
BriBry, recently released his latest singles ‘Everything’ and ‘Your Life Over
Mine’ on iTunes. Both songs have received a majorly positive response, and it
is clear that Brian is well on his way to major success with his music. In the
recent weeks, Brian kindly agreed to answer some questions I, and I’m sure many
others, had been dying to ask him.
