Recommended: The Original Rudeboys

If you're not from Ireland, chances are you've never heard of The Original Rudeboys. These guys are an acoustic hip-hop band from Dublin. Their sound is extremely unique; usually described as a mix of indie and hip-hop...

Now, I'm not usually a fan of hip-hop myself, so don't let that turn you off. This trio's sound goes far deeper than just the usual hip-hop of today. Between Sean Arkin's powerfully unique voice and strong Dublin accent when he raps, and Robert Burch's soft voice that comes in in between and sometimes sounds like a whisper, they really have a sound to suit anyone's music tastes. Amongst the meaningful lyrics, powerful rapping, beautiful smooth singing, and the acoustic guitar, there's also the prominent sound of Sean Walsh on the ukulele.

It really is difficult to compare this band to anyone else; they're just one of those bands you have to listen to. The Original Rudeboys are known in Ireland for their single 'Stars In My Eyes', which hit No.2 on iTunes. They also released an album- 'This Life' in March of this year which reached No.3 in the Irish charts. Basically, if you haven't heard these guys yet... you need to!
