Introducing: Frank Hamilton

You may already be familiar with Frank Hamilton because of his most well-known EP You, Your Cat & Me, which was released in 2008. This British singer, songwriter (originally from Cambridgeshire, currently living in London) has had a very busy 2012, literally dedicating the entire year to his music.

On January 6th 2012, Hamilton launched his 'One Song A Week' project, which saw him release a new song every week, accompanied by an extremely honest blog post expressing reasons behind each one, for the whole of 2012. These songs include collaborations and features from other talented artists such as Newton Faulkner, Lauren Aquilina and Orla Gartland, and can be streamed or bought on the 'One Song A Week' website.

The songs that formed this very successful project were also compiled into an EP for every month, and there is now an album entitled The Best Of #OneSongAWeek, which reached number 1 in the singer/songwriter chart and is available to buy on iTunes.

When you listen to Frank's music, it's pure and honest- that really is the only way to describe it. His lyrics aren't written to be poetic or to be intricate; they're written to be understood. His songs tell a story, and an honest story at that.  Until you discover Frank's music, you're severely missing out on what a raw talent he is. I strongly recommend you head on over to #onesongaweek and welcome this musical drug into your life; and don't be expecting to have had enough any time soon.

Don't forget to keep up to date with the latest news and updates from Frank on Twitter and Facebook.

Here's just a taste of the kind of masterpiece Frank is capable of producing:
(In this case, with the help of the extremely talented Lauren Aquilina.)
